Derrick’s journey began in the Florida foster care system, where he discovered the magic of movies and art. By 14, he had his first movie theater premiere, and he hasn’t looked back since. His path has taken him from founding a high school film club to studying theater and production, advocating for vulnerable youth, and eventually founding Axion Pictures in 2019.

Through Axion Pictures, Derrick has directed and produced numerous projects, aiming to entertain, inspire, and spark meaningful conversations. His faith and dedication to storytelling shine through in every project, reminding us of the transformative power of creativity and the importance of following one’s passions.
